The community our clients support will benefit from the knowledge that accessing services with safeguarding support in place for them as clients, will ensure that all service provision meets a secure safeguarding criterion and that their safety and well-being is paramount.
The clients we provide this service to will receive practical support in setting up and maintaining up-to-date safeguarding policies and procedures that will ensure that their service provision is safe. This will include planning with the client if annual reviews are needed, with recognition that they may need further support from us via training provision to enable them to manage their safeguarding at a local level, with the knowledge that our support is available should they require it.
Many small groups are often unable to undertake DBS checks for their volunteers due to lack of time, knowledge and cost. Our DBS service will enable the groups and individuals we engage with to access DBS checks that are accessible and affordable. We also intend to apply for a bursary or grant that will enable us to provide this service free of charge in some cases. By undertaking this task for these groups and individuals this will mean they can focus on providing the much-needed services that their communities need.
